Beep Beep Ribby Ribby!

Holy Mackerel! has it really been a week since I last posted? I’m off my game.

There’s been a lot of falling off (diet, exercise, blog, draw) but I’m going to fix this starting now.

Okay because it’s the end of the day (work day) and I feel all greasy and tired and I still have the drive home ahead of me and I still have to work out, here’s a disorganized list of things that have happened in the last week and/or any thoughts I’ve had:

  • I’ve finished reading two regency romance novels. God, I’m not even embarrassed to admit that I get obsessed with these anymore.
  • Lyndon and I have had our 3rd waltzing class and both of us art still confused at how to do the teacup spin. We’re not really good at doing this but I just enjoy being held by him. And he tries so hard and it’s so CUTE!
  • I made bbq pulled pork sandwiches from scratch in the slow cooker and it came out fantastic. Next, I’m going to make ribs in the slow cooker.
  • At work, I got a brand spankin’ new computer with gianter monitors that are now glossy and LED. I’ve been preoccupied getting things JUST RIGHT.
  • Lyndon and I are revamping Onigiri Robot. I can’t say when we’ll have that up and running. I might move all of my artwork over there or something. This makes me want to do a whole re-org of EVERYTHING.
  • Watched a coworker perform with a rock metal band out on our front patio at work. They did Crazy Train and it was awesome!
  • I’m kind of sort of working on my tan. I’m one of the brown girls at work, I should be brown right?

That’s about it for now. I’m currently obsessed with screaming robot noises at random times. And Back to the Future.

P.S. For a few nights this last week, I’ve had dreams with Jack Donaghy in them. Not Alec Baldwin the real guy but the character played by Alec Baldwin. It could be that we’re again watching 30 Rock seasons 1 – 3 over again (for the -th time). Obsessed?

Time to go.

    Awesome Day List

How awesome is my day today?

    1. I recieved both my SARLACC pin and
    2. my girl scout cookies – YUM! And you know what’s better than just regular girl scout cookies?? Frozen girl scout cookies. That’s right! I said frozen. I don’t have to look at them and binge but also I likes them cold with a nice cup of black coffee.
    3. It’s clear and sunny and a little chilly outside. I love that combo.
    4. I brought the rest of the Monkey Bread I made last night (it was so giant) – and it was gobbled up by my friends/coworkers who thanked and praised me. That always feels good.
    5. Work isn’t as crazy this week as I expected.
    6. And I’m just in a good mood.

Han Solo loves his SARLACC pin. He likes anything with the Falcon on it. Yes..I have a whole shelf in my cube littered with Star Wars toys. Sad part is: this isn’t everything I could have brought from home.

    Goals for 2010

Starting out strong in 2010! There are a few things I want to do this year. I’m determined to take steps towards my goals instead of just thinking about what I want to be doing and watching the time go by. It’s been about 2 weeks into the new year and I’m feeling pretty good. Here’s a list of things I want to do this year (in no order):

    • Weight Loss/Excercise Ok. Nothing like having a bunch of candid pictures taken of you at a work function amongst a ton of other people who are younger, in better shape, and more stylish then yourself to make you rethink your entire body image. I have let myself go and am now struggling to get it all back. I’ve bought food, planned out my meals. It starts today. I’m feeling good. This is the first time I’ve ever really been conscious and made an effort to do anything like this. I hope it goes well.
    • Hobby/Activity So, this is about archery. My last few posts have been about archery. I’ve not felt passionate about something in a long time. I’ve emailed the Kyudo Club here in Washington. Once I get the schedule of classes, I will register and begin. In the past, I’ve never acted on anything. I’ve thought about how cool it would be to do things and never did anything about it. This time, I’m doing something.
    • Art/Illustration Because of the stress and time consumption of my job, I’ve let my artwork fall by the wayside. I want to begin drawing and painting again. I want to have artwork of my own to hang on the walls of my house. Slowly but surely, I will pick back up on drawing. Oni-bot has suffered enough.
    • Home Improvement I am painting the inside of the house this year. If it’s the only thing I do – this is it. I also want hardwood floors but that might not be financially possible. But damnit, there will be new paint on these walls! And after I’ve picked up again on art/illustration/painting – I should have things to hang on my newly painted walls! Hot-cha!

These are the main things among a lot of other things. I’m hoping to use this blog to track everything I’m doing and keep me motivated to keep going. I’m feeling positive. It helps to be surrounded by positive people.

With the list of hard things comes a list of little things. Accomplishing the little things will make me feel good and keep me sane while I struggle to accomplish the big things.

    • Watch and blog about new movies I’ve seen
    • Hang out and reconnect with friends more often
    • See my baby nieces every month
    • Clean/organize house

    I’m feeling good.
